I thought I was getting a fresh, pasture raised turkey, not fresh frozen. My fault for not confirming. I had done a Google search looking for fresh, pasture-raised turkey and Beverly Creek Farms came up. A bit of a dilemma considering the turkey was to be on the table in 22 hours. It went into a brine at 4:00 PM and by 8:00 the next morning it was ready to cook. This was hands-down, one of the best turkeys we have ever had; it was moist and meaty, and the flavour was next level. I look forward to the next time; I'll just give myself a little more breathing room.
I regularly come here to buy beef and goat meat. Their online ordering system is pretty neat and the meat is usually ready the very next day. They also do a great job packing the meat in vacuum seals which makes cold storage so much easier. Five stars all around!
I heard Beverly Creek Farms supplied some of the top restaurants in the Hamilton area and now I understand why. Their lamb and beef are some of the best I have ever had; beautifully marbled and so delicious. I tried out their new online ordering platform and it was also super easy to use and my order was ready for pick-up exactly as stated. I am grateful to have them nearby and will be ordering all my meat from them moving forward!
While I cannot comment about quality of the meat, this place does not sell to the public. Only to the restaurants and butchers. Lady who answered the phone was friendly, but as a simple customer, who is willing to drive to buy directly from the local farmers and business, I would never know whether they are good or bad. Perhaps, they should add "Do not sell to the public" in their google listing, so we can find somebody who would Edited to add: I was pleased to get a prompt response from the owner. In fact in "About" section says : "as we provide meat products to the restaurant and retail industry." I did drive by, and it looks like there could be plenty of space to also have a small retail shop, or at least allow retail customers to order, and pick up. Growing carnivore community of Hamilton would love it!
i was there in July , John and his son Very friendly and very knowledgeable. we bought lambs meat was very good. all my family enjoyed it. will go again.
Did Qurbani with them last year. The price of the beef at the end came to around $10 a pound (Total meat amount was 1/3 of the owners original estimate). Yes, beef, $10 a pound. The cut of the meat was big chunks, some parts was missing. Try to avoid them if possible.
